Cascais

Cascais is a beach town west of Lisbon towards the Atlantic coast. I think it’s got some of Portugal’s most expensive zip codes, based on an amateur assessment of house prices conducted through estate agency windows. On a hot summer’s day Portuguese sun worshippers and tourists alike flock to the beaches to bake, roast, cavort and posture. It was an interesting people-watching experience, yet due to the crowds, not what one would call relaxing.
