Classic Costa Brava!

The sea was high today so we had to find a different beach in Callella to get some shade this morning. (The spot we had on Sunday was under water.) There are four beaches in Callela and this was the smallest one, more of a cove.
After a spell in the water Eda stayed with Grace and I while the boys went off for coffee. No problem we had croissants on the beach!
All part of the plan as when they came back Grace and I got some time to go ‘noodling’, as she calls it, while they packed up and took Eda back to the apartment.
Coffee, shops, a lovely walk around the headland under the pines - classic Costa Brava scenery and wonderful scented pine trees. Took this whacky shot of Grace on one of the twisted trees with the gorgeous blue Med behind. She’d just bought the bag she has on her arm. More shops in Llafranc and then lunch! Some very nice shops but I wasn’t the one doing most of the shopping! A lovely time together.
We were back just after Eda woke from her nap.

Then it was our turn for a night out.
We had drinks in Charlie and Steve’s apartment and met their son James, good to meet him now he’s grown into a teenager and to reacquaint ourselves with the apartment and then we all walked down to Canadel beach for dinner watching the moon go from an orange ball to a crescent! Didn’t know about the eclipse.
Great place, food and company.
It was after midnight when we set off to walk back. Seeing an open Gelateria we both got an ice cream to help us up the hill. Chris had Limone and I had dark chocolate with naranja.
Too late for blip (the only window I had to do it in the day the photo wouldn’t upload - it’s shared WiFi)
A brilliant day on the Costa Brava.
Extra - Croissants on beach.
