Morning calm on the Pond

A lovely walk with the ladies (and one man) doing the usual early Thursday St Ives circuit. Not much bird activity on Coppice Pond though the geese and now well grown goslings were in the usual place. Didn’t stop to feed them as I’m out of duck and swan feed, need to source some more.

Though quiet and calm on the pond there was lots of activity in the village before 7.00am.  They were putting new lights in the bus shelter as I passed and the lady from the butcher’s was across the road putting out the sandwich and pie sign as I crossed the crossing.
Part of the parking area In the estate entrance was cordoned off and as we returned there were ‘three tree fellers/fellas’ - as per the joke - taking down an old tree.

We walked well spaced out as you can see in my compilation, in fact so far apart that three people have already disappeared around the corner!

A brighter and drier day today, let’s hope it stays that way.

PS the badger hasn’t given up!
