Naughty, naughty ...

Mr Brock!

A couple of weeks ago we had a Greek takeaway with one of the starters being Padron peppers. Very nice but we didn’t eat them all. They went in the fridge and then when it became obvious they were not going to be eaten they were put out. I usually throw leftovers out at the top of the garden for birds and whoever else is passing through but Chris had put these in the compost bin in the greenhouse.
A few days later I found one in the middle of the green house floor and quite a bit mess. I told Chris that I thought we’d had ‘some one’ in. Then the other day the bird food box was knocked over so he decided to close the greenhouse door last night. Mr Brock was obviously not pleased! He has done his best to claw his way through!

We usually get badgers digging holes in the top lawn when they are searching for May bug grubs, though we haven’t seen as many this year and we’ve had whole bird feeders disappear in the past!

We’ll have to see what happens next. The price you pay for wildlife visitors in your garden.

Wish we were where we were this time last year

Sorry this is rather a boring blip!
