DAFT AS A BRUSH

Morrisons first thing and then home to unpack the shopping and have breakfast.  Then I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour or so.  Did a few household chores and then went for a short walk.

As I passed the cricket club I saw the van in my blip shot.  Its often parked in the same place - or nearby.  I did a bit of research about " Daft As A Brush ".

Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care offers staffed custom made vehicles to transport outpatients who are undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, free of charge, to and from hospital
The regions covered are: Northumberland,  Tyneside, Durham, Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas. To date the charity has a fleet of 29 ambulances, 20 of which have been adopted by primary schools from across the region and 2 by the Great North Children’s Hospital.

Colin went back to his flat for a while today.  Had a meeting there with the Environmental Health Officer.  Work is progressing.  He now has a working toilet and a new kitchen sink.  Also new flooring in the kitchen and bathroom.  Now that he has a toilet he's tempted to go back for good but I have persuaded him not to return yet as the workmen still have things to do and he would only be in the way.  I think he sees the sense in that.

The weather today has been warm again and we had some sunshine.  But this evening there has been heavy rain.  Still warm and muggy though.
