Parasol forest in the morning light.

I woke up today at 5:45 as some asshole was honking his car horn for a long time. I guess that person's friend wasn't at the meeting point when supposed to. Anyway it was quite far away but woke me up.

Otherwise pretty ordinary day. Coffee. Dogs out. Morning swim. Water at 27°C. Home and breakfast.

Then I went out for a 5 km walk which I did with interval training. That was fun! And very sweaty.

After that it's been sewing, jar painting (which I started some days ago and now it's taken half the dinner table), lunch, doggie walks. I also went to talk with Charlotte. We're planning on going for a coffee and cake tomorrow to the "Scandinavian cafe" which is held by an Irish lady. So we're gonna go see what is Scandinavian as we Scandinavians don't know. Well, actually Finnish are Scandinavians ( we are part of Fennoscandinavians), but Charlotte as Danish is a Scandinavian aboriginal so we'll be judging tomorrow :-)

"Fennoscandia
From Wikipedia

Fennoscandia (Finnish: Fennoskandia; Swedish: Fennoskandien; Norwegian: Fennoskandia; Russian: Фенноскандия Fennoskandiya) or the Fennoscandian Peninsula is the geographical peninsula comprising the Scandinavian Peninsula, Finland, Karelia, and the Kola Peninsula. It encompasses Finland, Norway and Sweden, as well as Murmansk Oblast, much of the Republic of Karelia, and parts of northern Leningrad Oblast in Russia.

Its name comes from the Latin words Fennia (Finland) and Scandia (Scandinavian). The term was first used by the Finnish geologist Wilhelm Ramsay in 1898.

Geologically, the area is distinct because its bedrock is Archean granite and gneiss with very little limestone, in contrast to adjacent areas in Europe.

The similar term Fenno-Scandinavia typically refers to a cultural or political grouping of Finland with Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, and Norway), which is a subset of the Nordic countries."

I sometimes get bit offended when people don't know that Finland isn't part of Scandinavia. But then again, most people don't even know where Finland is on map and basically anything about Finland. :-)
