At Sea Day ....

…. First full day of sailing.

For some inexplicable reason the first day of our cruise was an at sea day.  We couldn’t figure out why as Nassau is less than a day’s sailing from Miami!  But we tried to make the most of it!

After a leisurely breakfast we went looking for my brother (Dave) as it’s his daughter (Rachel) getting married tomorrow and we needed to find out how we are getting to the beach.  First we went to his stateroom to see if he was there but he wasn’t.  We ran into someone we know that’s there for the wedding and she told us that Dave and Michele (his wife) were on the pool deck.  We headed up there and looked around but didn’t see them at first.  And then suddenly there he was!  We sat by the pool with them for a little bit and got some more information on how to get to the beach for the wedding. Unfortunately it’s not walking distance so we need to take a taxi out there …. Luckily there are lots of those in Nassau!

We spent the rest of the day exploring the ship and going to a few of the many shows that are offered. We saw a super funny show in the Royal Theater that was called the Love and Marriage game … similar to the Newlywed game only the three couples picked from the audience were at different stages of married life.  As you would expect the couple that had been married the longest won!  We had a great time!

It was formal night in the main dining room and we had another delicious dinner with Bev, Harvey, Caroline and Jess! It’s the first time we had seen them all day!  I told you this ship is huge! After dinner we went up top to see the sunset again …. it was another stunner! Then we said our good nights!

Tomorrow is the wedding …..
