Contemplative

The case saga continued today but we managed to get the delivery address changed which was progress.

So off we went, in the sunshine, to the Dean Village and a stroll along the Water of Leith to St Bernard's Well. It was open as part of the Art Festival so that was a bonus.

Part 2 of the day was the open top bus to the Botanics for M&S picnic lunch. It was a beautiful afternoon as we strolled round the gardens, looking at the beautiful flowers and even sighting a couple of squirrels. Earlier I had spotted a couple of notable people' Ming Campbell and his wife and later Nina Conti in Prices Street with her kids. That's the Festival for you.

We'd also had a message to say the case had been delivered so after completing the open top bus trip we went to the Manor to collect it - but it was the wrong case! However, a couple of hours later things were rectified when we did a case swap with the courier.

The final part of the day was to the Tattoo. Quite a wait in the queue and the about half an hour in it rained, heavy drizzle but that's Edinburgh for you
