Hic sunt dracones..

Yep, down by the Itchen Navigation today I could really say here be dragons.  So many of them.  Most were the big whizzers, going (allegedly) at anything up to 34mph (54 km/h).  The problem is, at those sort of speeds you can't even tell what kind they are, let alone focus on them.  (That should read, I can't, but other blippers, eg JDO, do it effortlessly).

However, this small Common Darter took pity, landed on a bit of reed stalk right by the water and gave me enough time to blip him.  It is therefore mean of me to laugh, but when he moved his head on its funny stiff little neck he looked very Nick Park.
