An Afternoon at the Theater

Dear Diary,

Well, I think it is official.  I'm a 'senior' citizen!  I use to attend evening performances at the Barnstormers Theater but now I favor the matinees.  That gets me out just in time for the 'early bird specials' at the restaurant nearby.  Yep, no use denying it now!  I saw my annual Agatha Christie play, this time Spider's Web.  It was so well done and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I've been going to this theater for over 40 years and it never disappoints.  The drawing in the collage, I found in the lobby, was done in 1939 by the famous cartoonist for the New York Times, Al Hirschfeld.  The theater is celebrating it's 89th season this year.  It only missed 1942-45 due to the war.
