A Trio of Bees

Dear Diary,

The garden may look a shambles but my bees don't care.  They are working overtime gathering pollen.  I have counted as many as 5 different bee varieties in my garden and they all find a place.  The sunflower in the center is another 'volunteer', like Harvey's lilies.  It was planted no doubt by one of my chipmunks.  There is usually at least one random sunflower in the yard each year.  The bee on the right has the largest pollen pouch I've ever seen; it is amazing he can still fly!  He is harvesting my heather which is blooming right now.  Our bee-utiful weather continues, which is delightful, but we could sure use some rain.
