Sunshine again!

It was a warm (21 degrees - thats warm for us) and sunny day. We have a lot on the list this weekend and I am on a huge learning curve with my business.
Before going out we sat in the kitchen and discussed about things I learned from starting reading the "photographer's Mentor's" book last night and what I need to improve to gain business.
It is all logical, but not necessary to my personal liking. He strongly suggest to define a niche and become a specialist provider, in order to attract certain clients, that are happy to pay you for your specialist knowledge.
No-one wants to employ a "Jack of all trades" for their important business needs. This all makes sense, but I am happy doing loads of different things and feel a bit deprived in concentrating only on one kind of photography.
With all going on on my LinkedIn with my industry network, my niche would have to be "Industrial Photography". This also goes in line with the shoot next week. I would also enjoy that - but honestly, I also want to be a portrait photographer, continue with the music and musicians and so on ... hmmm!
We talked a while, then got ready to get out and walk to the market.
We have not been for ages!!
At the market we had a catch up with Chris from Peelham Farm and got some of his award winning salami. Then we went for breakfast and a coffee to "For Fica's Sake" across the corner.
We continued talking and I had luckily my To-Do-List with me to make more notes. It is getting longer and longer.
Neil started with GDPR and told me that I needed to add a privacy notice to my website!
He also reminded me, that I would need model release for the Antonov shoot on Tuesday, in case I take portraits that I want to use. Oh dear - more to organise.
I then wondered about my business cards - they show my portfolio pictures, mainly portraits and street-stuff. Nothing I could really hand out to the Volga-Dnepr guys.
I decided to contact Iain the printer, if we can get something done quickly on Monday, just a small batch.
This led to the next question - my website! It's still a big chaos and it really SHOUTS "JACK of ALL TRADES".
Neil suggested to rearrange and get an "Industrial" Folder and provide the direct link to the folder on the new business card.
More to do ....... and an ever growing list!
But I guess you learn by doing and at some point I will have all in place :)

I has my flash and my on-flash-softbox with me today, as I wanted to do some test shots with fill-in flash outside.
I wanted to be prepared for Tuesday, Flash could give me the little edge when taking some portraits in unfortunate lighting conditions.
So Neil had to suffer again.

Back home we disappeared in our rooms. I started editing and then reorganising the websites, which ended up being A LOT OF WORK.

I stopped at 2 am .... Neil was playing computer games and we sat another hour in the kitchen together before we went to bed.

Blipping the development on Queen Margaret Drive. Tea Jennie is now gone. Let's see what comes next?

As Extras my flash tests on Neil against the light.
1st without flash - Second with flash.
Although I am not a fan of on  camera flash. I does look better with fill in flash - wouldn't you agree?
