Wound up in Wexford

Wollemi pine

Our Wollemi pine was looking rather sorry for itself earlier this year, but I am glad to see it has now perked up and put on a decent bit of new growth.  Much of the rest of the garden is looking rather past its best, as is so often the way in the later days of summer.

The agapanthus are putting on a good show, despite being rather overshadowed by trees, but the photos I've taken this evening don't show them at their best - I'll try again tomorrow.  We will be moving most of them this autumn to the new bed.

I notice the cyclamen hederifolium are flowering - that always makes me realise that the summer is drawing to a close.
