Gaslighting

Just can’t keep away from this festival. The Edinburgh middle classes are like bluebottles on dung. First up, a meeting with McC the elder sailor to hear Robin Knox-Johnston in conversation with Ruth Wishart. A real honour to be in the same room as the guy and hear his tales at first hand. Nice blazer too! As it was later with Gordon Brown, a real giant of a man. A towering intellect - unfortunately he was in conversation with Branko Milanovic who it a bit of a nerdy numbers man. Brown had the best line though, recalling a banner at one of the G20 protests - "worldwide campaign against globalisation." Haw.
Then on to the big event - the opening night of Tarantino’s latest - Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. What a joy of a movie; every scene a winner, a work of art. I am Robert Redford no longer. I’m Brad Pitt. Yep, Pitt the elder.
