A View of the Garden

Those of you who live in UK will know that today the heavens opened. Today's photo intends to interpret the view of the garden from the conservatory. The rain obscured the view and seemed to run in sheets down the windows.

I slept very well in the afternoon. Am wondering whether to remain in the semi upright position recommended by the dental assistant during the night. I seem to get better sleep that way.

Fun evening tonight at Whatton Hall where we (Len, Basil, myself) went to watch Dot Productions' version of Sense and Sensibility. Just five actors so there was doubling up of parts, but they did it all with great panache and humour. I thoroughly recommend going to see them because they perform at all these country houses throughout England during the summer and you can take your picnics and booze in while you watch.

In view of the weather, Lord and Lady Crawshaw permitted the ensemble and the audience to use the ante room at Whatton House this evening. Very comfortable. Volunteers from Rainbows Hospice for sick children were on hand to serve tea and biscuits as required.
