Whole day about water!

Yesterday we had the 6 hour water cut. In the evening I could hear in the pipes that the water was leaking again. When we took the dogs out this morning we could have used a canoe in some areas. So the place was leaking again.

Someone apparently came and did something very quickly (it being Saturday) and after that we still got some pressure in the pipes but very low.

Nearing afternoon the water stopped for some of us. We got nada. Some neighbours had a trickle, some bit better.

Again trying to get people to call the water company. Mainly people who speak Spanish. My husband called. Third number picked up. That number was an outside call desk up in Benidorm. Anyway they promised to get the message forward.

Maria our Ecuadorian neighbour called too. Being a Spanish speaker it’s easier for her. They told him that this is all the builders fault and that they have to fix it.

So here we go again. Everyone blaming someone else. We have a contract with the water company. Not anyone else.

Anyway, somehow we got them to get the water back on for us. But guess what? The street is flooding too.

I’m guessing that they just cut the water out of the section of the pipes that services us. They don’t wanna fix it during weekend so they’d rather just let the water leak and let people have some water, than trying to fix it for good.
This is not going to resolve during the weekend. If they manage to fix this on Monday I’m surprised.

When we saw the leak this morning we filled all the buckets, but we don’t have a container to have water for bathing.

I also told neighbours to fill their buckets. At least if we are able to flush the toilet that’s something. But in no means is this fun. This is very stressful and annoying.

We took the dogs our earlier than usual hoping we could still get a shower after our walk. Well… guess what. We couldn’t! I used the drops what were left in the pipes, but then in was just bucket water. Lucky we got that. Poor husband was totally on bucket water.

I do not understand how the locals do not react to this.

We’ve been told that it’s the builders fault.
We’ve been told to contact administration (we do not have any).
Water company is blaming everyone else, and not taking responsibility.

What a fiasco!
If we can’t refill out buckets tomorrow, we need to go buy bottled water to use it on toilet and washing.

Running water. What a gift to have it. BTW, it's still hot and sweaty!
