MUCH BINDING IN THE MARSH......

Well OK Grange-over-Sands Promenade looking over the sea grass to Arnside Knott.

People of a certain age and in the UK will know that this was a Radio Show and song way back.  The show actually finished the year I was born so I've no idea how I know about it!!!!

Much Binding

Went to the U3A talk this morning in the Victoria Hall.  It was about The Vikings, the false impressions we have of them and their history in relation to the UK.  It was interesting but lacked enough slides for me.  Still it was only for 45 minutes so a pleasant enough morning.  Also gave me chance to catch up with some friends from the U3A Photography Club.

For those that don't know here is a link to tell you about the U3A.  Grange has an excellent one.  I only take part in a couple of activities and occasionally the monthly meeting, but there is such a lot of choice and something to suit most people.

We then went for a late brunch/early lunch at Thyme Out, had a chat with the locals in there and then I decided we needed to take my camera for a walk for some of the projects I have ongoing at the moment.  We simply went up The Esplanade, through the Park Road Gardens, down Clare House Lane and onto The Prom, then walked along there down to the station and back to Windermere Road Car Park.  Then home.

After Mum's house call from The Doctor yesterday and she has medication which could take anything up to two weeks to kick in we've decided to have her come and stay with us from Sunday this weekend through to next Saturday because otherwise she will be trying to go out when her leg's still playing up because she will get so bored.  She's not coming before then because she's having a new boiler fitted this week, which is getting to the stage where it does need replacing.  Best to do it before winter sets in.

That's my exciting life for today, thank you for dropping by.

Hope you are all well and see you tomorrow.
