An evening with .......

I was returning homeward bound at the end of the working day, and had not taken a photo. A quick photo inside the cathedral seemed a good idea, as I was passing by.

But it was closed. I decided the door was the best option. So here it is.

There was a little sign by the door. It would be opened at 6pm (assuming Tuesday is right, and the 22nd on the sign is wrong). An evening with someone called Nadia Bolz-Weber. Looks like a book launch.

I’ve googled her. Lutheran pastor, former alcoholic and drug addict, founder of a church (the House for All Sinners and Saints), tattoos on her arms (one the liturgical year, the other the story of the gospels), outspoken and seemingly focussed on sexual issues, a following in the LGBT community, and a bit of a “celeb” in some quarters. That makes sense - Manchester Pride weekend is coming up.

It’s a multi-faceted world, that’s for sure
