Surprise

Today we did a big clean up in the corner of the garden where an old climbing rose and ivy had taken over and were ruining a maple tree. I found this hellebore hiding under the tangle of green. I purchased it two years ago but it hadn’t flowered before. It was really tricky to blip so I had to do some creative poses which would have looked funny. Most of my other hellebores are singles so this is a nice surprise.

We had the most glorious winter day after a cold morning down to -4.5° C. It was lovely being outside and I even opened up the house to let some fresh air inside.
