Life in Sunny Dubai

Another morning spent ironing first thing! Now I am right up to date :)

As there was a bit of time, we decided to assemble the gazebo we bought yesterday. The sun wasn't on the decking yet, so it was the perfect time to do it. It took a while to suss out all the parts but we got there in the time we allowed ourselves.

We got to church just in time. The service was just starting. We had a minister whom I'd not seen before. She led a good service and we stayed and chatted for a bit afterwards. The new TV was used for the first time and I think it will be a big asset.

We came home for a light snack and rest as we want to drive to Worthing later. Can't believe how hot it is again. The gazebo is definitely making a difference by helping to keep the sun off the windows.

Again, we went out when it got cooler, taking a different route to the one we've done the last few years when we've picked up Margaret first. It was good to the sea again, something I am doing for the first time since leaving Dubai!

We found the fish and chip shop, as well as a parking space without a problem and G found a free bench to sit and eat our meal. We then walked towards the Pier in an attempt to get some ice cream! My blip is of the beach huts we passed on the way there.

G reckons we walking over two miles. I was definitely ready to be heading back home. A good and well-paced day. We miss Margaret a lot and this trip was done just to honour her. We would like to have taken Chris and Marian but Marian is in too much pain to do a long journey.
