Beachy Head

First stop this morning was a cycle/coffee shop in Hassocks where we had breakfast. There was a table set out with fruit, flapjacks and other goodies plus drinks ready for cyclists who were taking part in a 24 hour event. Some cyclists arrived while we were there, had their refreshments and were off again.

Then we drove to Eastbourne. Baxter and I were first time visitors. I have added an Extra of Baxter at the seaside. We had a nice walk along the seafront and a walk along the old Victorian pier. I enjoyed a 99.... See Extra. Later on we found a cafe right on the seafront and had lunch. Becky and Mike chose fish and chips. I had a coronation chicken baguette.

The weather was really hot and sunny. It was very tiring walking around. There was a "heat haze" which never really lifted so visibility out to sea was poor.

Back to the car and a drive up to Beachy Head. My blip shot captures the moment I peered over the edge to see the lighthouse. It's really high and you need to be quite close to the edge to look over and see the white cliffs and the lighthouse. Thanks to 60 plus for hosting Mono Monday and for today's challenge word which is "Moment".

I have added another Extra of me and Becky up on Beachy Head.

Next stop was Middle Farm and Apple Cider Centre. We saw beautiful Jersey cows being milked. Fascinating. We bought a pint of their unpasteurised creamy milk. Then a walk around the farm to see sheep, goats, chickens, alpaca, rhea, donkeys,a shetland pony, pigs and rabbits

Back to Becky and Mike's to chill out and freshen up before it was time to head out in the car to go to The Ginger Fox for a meal. I chose hake with veg and chunky chips. Tooooo full to have a pud.

An exhausting day. I will sleep well tonight. Becky and Mike are back to work tomorrow so I will do my own thing.

Sorry about lack of comments tonight..... too tired and I need to go to bed
