You spin me right round (BoJo)

I must admit I've been watching more telly than normal recently. I can't quite decide what I'm watching, a slow motion car crash or a reality soap that's lost its grip on reality. It is however hugely entertaining, and not a little disturbing... we pay these people quite well for this pantomime.

Watching Johnson squawk his 'dare you, twice dare you' cracked record (heh, link) challenge to have an election is boring once you realise that under the new legislation of the Fixed Term Parliament Act he could, if the gauntlet were picked up, change the date of the election at will. That this could prevent any thwarting of a no deal departure is not lost on anyone except the right wing media. And probably not them either.

You can tell Johnson is getting needled (oh ho, link) but events, no least that his own brother has run away from the party to avoid an internecine family argument. At the end of the day, none of this is helping deal with the impending climate crisis. Can't we just have his head on a platter (chortle).
