Final Days

I made an effort to get up and leave the house promptly today for a visit to RHS Wisley, which was holding its Annual Flower show, and even though the schools are now back, it was bound to be busy.  Even arriving shortly after it opening, the car parks were filling up fast, but I got a good spot just a short walk from the entrance.

I'd already decided to "travel light", and spent most of the day using a 50mm f1.8 prime with wide aperture, hand held.  This was a real challenge, and a lot of shots missed the focus point, but eventually I managed what I was after.

Coneflowers still retain some grace and beauty even as they die. The in-focus subject surrounded by dreamy light out of focus background easily meets one of my objectives of the day,  and provides my image for BikerBear's Flower Friday Challenge.
