Episode Two ........

 ............. following on from episode one yesterday.

Written here on Blip on Wednesday 11 September 2019 for Monday 9 September 2019.

Woke up to the phone ringing at 07.00 - Himself sounding very chirpy on the other end - I, on the other hand, could hardly move.
He was on the ward but said he felt fine and was hoping to come home.  Then had to hang up as the doc arrived (at 07.00??  Good heavens).

I tried to get out of bed but could not lever myself up because of the pain in my right shoulder - bloody hell, it hurt.  After rolling around ( a bit like an overfed seal) I was upright.
Getting a shower and cleaning my teeth (not in the shower) was "interesting" but I managed.  
Getting dressed was even more "interesting" - ladies upper undergarments are not the easiest to don when one has only a single working shoulder - lol. 

By this time it was well after eight ...... downstairs, a couple of painkillers for breakfast along with two cups of tea - then sit and wait for another call.

10.00 - phone rings - " .....just waiting for my discharge letter and then I can come home - please come and get me..... "    Luckily it's my right arm and also the car is automatic so no issues driving.

Make a long story short(er) - got home, Himself slept most of the day, I took two photos (one above) and we had fish and chips for tea.  
Went to bed at 21.30!  Very early for us.

Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes and exclamations of shock - lol - it takes more than a "tumble" and a "funny turn" to put these two hardy Yorkshire folk down for long.   Hopefully.
