Norwich Heritage Open Days

G, H and I took our cameras into Norwich today to visit Boardman House under the Heritage Open Days scheme. Boardman House is a Grade II listed building built in 1879 as a Sunday School and assembly rooms for the attached United Reformed Church.  Norwich University of the Arts acquired the building in 2014 for conversion into teaching and design space for the NUA School of Architecture. It was a fascinating visit, with an architect talking us through the conversion which has been brilliantly undertaken. The United Reformed Church next door was also open under the scheme and that was also an interesting visit - see Extra for its fab colour scheme and seating. 

After a great sandwich (from Crocodile) eaten in the sun on a seat in the green outside the cathedral, we also took some photos in the beautiful cathedral. Our camera club project this year is 'the magic of light', hence the focus of three of the photos in my postcard above (best seen large). A great day of photography, friendship and history.
