A time for everything

Bees and flowers

A bit of a slow start this morning, followed by a nice long chat with our youngest daughter Laura, who is currently living and teaching in Kuwait. We’d traded messages over the last week or so, but she hadn’t actually called for a while, so it was nice to hear her voice. By this time, it was gone noon, so we had a light lunch, then went walking at Otto Armledder Park. It was a beautiful sunny day, somewhat cooler than the 90F we’d been seeing for the last four days, with lovely white wispy clouds in the blue sky. There were several children’s soccer games going on, so our usual parking area was full, so we ended up parking near the dog park, where there were quite a number of dogs running around having a fine time. Further into our walk, we took a side path down to the Little Miami River, where there were another four or five dogs having a grand time splashing about in the water - obviously a popular place to bring your dog! There were loads of huge dragonflies flitting over the meadow area, but none of them would settle and pose, but I was able to capture a few bees and one butterfly.
