Sparkling Mersea

Another beautiful day. I asked MrQ if he would like me to take him to the seaside, even though it is Sunday and lots of others would have the same idea. He wasn't too sure at first but then warmed to the plan. We packed a picnic and off we went. The traffic was surprisingly light.

I decided on Mersea Island as it has some of the nearest dog-friendly beaches. Cudmore Grove didn't look too promising at first but we found a nice shady corner of the car park near the woods for our picnic and a little, very quiet, beach was a short walk through the trees. MrQ managed it with a few stops to get his breath back. He, Ollie dog and I had a lovely paddle. My pic is of paddle boarders. That building by the man's nose, across the sparkling sea in Bradwell, is St Peter's Chapel, one of the oldest Christian churches in England.

We came home across The Strood near to high tide. There was some water on the road but not much. A lovely bright blue BMW was stranded half way across, possibly owing to hydrolock.
