Life in Sunny Dubai

G didn't have quite an early start today, which was a relief! I dropped her off and then worked from the Lebanese cafe close by. I love that place!

Home for lunch and then we were collect at 4 o'clock by Jon and Pam. They wanted to check out a part of old Dubai called Meena Bazaar. It is the textile souk, but Pam wasn't looking for fabric. We found all but one of the things she had on her shopping list and finished early enough to drive over to the other side of the Creek so we could show them these aerial views of old Dubai.

I couldn't believe that in the five years they've been here, this was the first time we'd brought them to the top of the multi-storey car park! I haven't been for ages, so it was great to get some shots, especially now that the new Al Seef development is almost complete (Extra 2).

It was incredibly humid and hazy today, so not the best day to try to get photographs. The dhow wharfage area was extremely busy as well! There was enough time to shower before we left for the SA bible study. It was good to see our friends again. Another day over and I'm so glad it is Thursday tomorrow! :)
