Produce season

Yesterday at our mo they church coffee morning we had a produce stall. We always have cakes but for this month people were asked to donate produce.
Chris took quite a number of jars of his chutney which sold very well and there was some apples and small bags of mixed fruits for sale. We had out two large plates to hold the vegetable produce we had been promised by one of our parishioners. It never appeared.
When I arrived at church this morning to get things out for coffee this box plus a tub full of fruit scones had appeared.
Apparently someone had been asked to deliver them to church yesterday and leave them on the step if there was no one there. They did but it was to the wrong church!
Never mind we put them out for today’s coffee drinkers after the service to purchase if they wished. Shame were about to go away for a few days as that Kohl Rabi looks very interesting.
The change in the weather has happened and we had heavy remain this morning, Quite dark and dull with the lights on already at 3.30 pm. though not particularly cold.
So this is my only shot today. Chris is busy making more chutney, red and yellow tomato not green this time. I’ve started with a cold!
