Coast To Coast

We were standing on the bridge over Seventy Acres Lake waiting for wildfowl to take flight when I heard a helicopter approaching. I certainly wasn't expecting a fly-by from a coastguard rescue AgustaWestland AW 189. A beautiful machine. I've discovered that it was on the way from the purpose-built base in Lydd, Kent to Dyce near Aberdeen. I wonder what its mission was?
