Mount Fuji

Asako came to collect me at 10 am. I felt so much better after a good night's sleep.

First we  went to a shopping centre, where I went crazy in funny Japanese dog treats and chocolates.

We then continued to Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station on the way up to the top of Mount Fuji. This is as close as you can get to the top by car. If you want to go further, you can ride horses some of the way or walk/climb.

There were lots of souvenir shops, but also a Shrine, where people go to pray for good luck, before they climb to the top of Mount Fuji.

We took Asako's gorgeous German Shepherd, Lulu (or something that sounds like Lulu for the Scandinavian ear), for a walk up the trial and when we came back, we enjoyed some of the business at the station before we went back down.

Since I don' have my boys here, I had to get Lulu to pose in front of all the things I wanted to photgraph. She did well :-D

Check out the extras too.

We are now at the Woof Hotel, a hotel especially made for dog owners. It has amazing training fields and wonderful facilities for dogs and their people.

See you tomorrow
