An ordinary life....

Bookends...

Fun day :-)

Carole arrived to trim Lola at 10.30am.  Unfortunately we weren't expecting her till 11.30am so David was up on the moor with Lola and I was upstairs, fully dressed but still with a towel on my wet hair, when she arrived!  Just as well Carole knows us so well!

Had a good catch up with her till Lola and David returned.  Lola went nuts (as she always does when she sees Carole) but eventually calmed down.

Alan's pal R arrived to go for a swim then afterwards we all had lunch together.  Lola was very well behaved.

My friend Janice arrived just after lunch with Lola's brother Ted, as Carole was giving him a trim too.  Lola and Ted love each other and play so well together.  A quick run about in the garden for them to burn off some energy, then Lola was trimmed first and Ted second.  Managed to get them to sit still for a nanosecond afterwards so was able to get my blip for today (Lola on the left, Ted on the right :-)

Everyone left and Lola curled up on her corner of the sofa and fell sound asleep!

Phoned my stepdad John to see how he is after his knee op.  As I'd advised, he phoned his local health centre this morning and the District Nurse popped out to see him.  She changed his dressing and was concerned that the area surrounding the wound is still radiating heat, so she spoke to his GP and he now has antibiotics.  He should have had them on Friday if the hospital had done it's job properly, but at least he has them now.

Despite all this he sounds very chipper and has dropped a dose of painkiller as he feels he doesn't need it.  I'm pleased about that.  Hopefully every day will see an improvement.

Thoughts now turning to tomorrow and a blip meet with blip veteran and her recent new addition.  Can't wait!  :-)))
