A lunchtime walk

It was good to get out at lunchtime for quite a long walk. The little fit club group have been getting on board, and we walk now every Tuesday if the weather is nice. A group of 7 of us did quite a brisk walk through the city from our office to Timberhill. Then past John Lewis and up to the ring road by the old wall, which we followed down to Chapelfield gardens. Looping down to St Giles and then down Cow Lane we ended up on St Benedicts street which took us nicely back to work in a complete circle of the city. My phone app said we walked 3km in 38 minutes. As not all of the group are used to walking, I thought we all did really well. Getting the heart rate up a little, but generally not putting too much pressure on individuals to do more than they can.

The working day has been interspersed with visitors. I've met with 3 people to talk through their respective pensions questions. It is very disruptive to normal work, so I'm keen to get in early tomorrow to try and catch up a bit.

Left early as Jon and I will drive Henry to his jujitsu tonight. Daniel is at a leaving do and would normally drive them both. We are thinking we will splash out at McDonalds after he has finished, to save us cooking late.

Nice to leave earlier again. Could get used to this..
