Life through the lens...

Autumn Gold.

The sky was blue and the sun was bright.
As it shone through the autumn beech trees it was pure gold.

Out for lunch at the White Beare to celebrate Mr C’s Birthday, but first we had a walk through Judy Woods.
Always a magical place, and especially when the trees have changed into their glorious autumn colours.
Today’s blip is Judy’s Bridge. A little tricky to photograph as I had to climb down a slippery banking together in the right position for the shot. Fortunately didn’t fall in!

We had a delicious lunch. Both chose steak and ale pie. Instead of the usual individual dish with a piece of puff pastry on top. This one was a huge piece. Cut from a large homemade pie, and proper shortcrust pastry. Mashed potato, red cabbage, and lots of gravy.
We both decided to have the Pud. of the day.
Jam roly poly with a jug of custard. Delicious.
Both feeling very full, and have certainly enjoyed the birthday.

Extra is a photo of the lovely horse which came over to say “Hello”.

I have tagged this for Wide Wednesday. Theme “ water”.
