Life's Little Moments

A gift

This morning we moved MIL to her new home, just 2 miles from us.  It took a while to get things sorted at the “old” home so we didn’t arrive to the new one until around 10:30.  It was touching to see how many of the staff came to say goodbye to her - in her brief time there, she’d obviously endeared herself to many of them.

Our arrival went smoothly and she seems to like her new room which is spacious and feels homey.  By the time we left early afternoon she’d already been seen by the staff doctor, nurses and activity coordinator.  Tomorrow she’ll have her physical therapy assessment.  Her lunch today looked and smelled delicious and her table mates were talkative.  So we are feeling quite good about this move.  SIL is with her now, and we will all see her at various times during the weekend.

I was exhausted when we got home, so what an unexpected and welcome surprise it was to receive this beautiful card from a lovely Blip friend.  I will frame the card, which is the work of Seattle artist Eileen Sorg.  A huge, heartfelt thank you to Carol (Legacy)!

I missed the gym today, so will hit it tomorrow.  And also plan to try out the new diffuser on some insects tomorrow.  No energy left for either today.

Thanks for dropping by.
