Always one and not very often

Wildwood asked me how many people does it take to change a lightbulb in our lounge.

It is a reasonable question, considering the height of some of our ceilings. Today’s Blipfoto shows how our "lounge" is lit.
LED ribbon runs along a recess under the balconies.

There are no light fittings in the high ceiling. The building did not have electricity until we bought it. We did not want to hang fittings from the ceiling. We can illuminate the ceiling by uplighter floodlamp fittings housed in the balcony railings.

Every fitting can be changed by one person working from a step stool or a step ladder, in the odd case where they cannot be changed from floor level.

The vast majority of lamps are LED and last several years as well as being energy efficient.

We were enjoying our breakfast today when Stein called us from his home in Shanghai to update us with his news.

He is very busy studying for a Chinese accountancy exam, but is missing Scotland, St Andrews and ourselves.
