Commuting in Edinburgh

A good day:

My nephew performed well at his interview this morning and has learnt this evening that he is the only candidate to be called back.

Alicja graduated with her PhD this afternoon. After the ceremony I hosted a wee celebration for her at Café Grande in Bruntsfield. We are all pictured in the extra: Shenando, Bruce, David B, Gemma, Rachel and me on the left, and (from the top of the table back again) Katherine, Peter, Alicja, Laura, Tanis and Tom.

The mist over the Meadows was also beautiful during this morning's commute.

Exercise today: walking (13,523 steps).
