If you can't beat them...

Millhouses Park.

Another day another visit to the park, but first Granddad's treat.   Just down the road is the Library, run by volunteers.  They raise extra funds by having locals bring in books they have read and then they sell them, at ridiculously low prices.  I always come away with a carrier bag full of books at 25p each.   I have pointed out to them they could price them much higher and still be cheap.  The reply was at this price people buy them and then bring them back to sell again!

Millhouses park is a favourite with "the little Tykes"  (Clickychick has called them this since she learned Yorkshiremen were called Tykes.)   I think it is the sheer range of things to do, Play area including various water handling toys, "skate park" (well scooters and bikes) the open air adult gym (always an attraction for kids) then there is the boating pond etc.

Today following the "Heart Trail" and finding all the markers was the favourite occupation.  The blip shows them on one of the obstacles in the play area.  Fortunately there is also a café for the adults.
