Autumn colours

Another wonderful walk in the woods in the sunshine this morning – lots of kids around due to it being half term and it is great that they are getting out and mucking about in the woods rather than being frozen in front of a screen at home. Xena found some exuberant younger dogs today and had some good romps, especially with a lovely Staffie who had such healthy looking coat.

I could not resist the autumn colours again – the leaves will drop all too soon so best to get photos now before it is too late.

We are having cold feet about leaving Xena with the house sitter who came for a trial run last week, for various reasons. So this afternoon I met another dog sitter who was busy at the time we are going away, but then contacted me as her dates have changed and she can now fit in my booking. She was very professional and comes with great references. She also bakes her own healthy doggie biscuits made from pumpkin puree, peanut butter, banana and gluten free gram flour which Xena loved!

Tonight I am going to London to see Stephen Mangan in the new production of The Man in The White Suit. It has been ages since we have been to theatre but I have a local teenager coming to babysit Xena – he has already done for us this twice before so he knows her quite well. Going to London is too lengthy a time to leave a puppy all by herself.

Can anyone make any sense of what is going on in The Dublin Murders - the plot is clear as mud.
