Gone fishin'

Such a different day from yesterday. Gone the wild winds and driving rain to quite, warm sunshine.

We walked to the Market on The Green this morning, buying some cheese, bread and vegetables. Susan bought a candle and took out a subscription to the Woodland Trust.

As the weather was so fine we took Doreen down the coast near Hythe and so did hundreds of other people too. The Beach Front Cafe was open so we called in for a sandwich and coffee, both of which were excellent, far exceeding our expectations.

There were loads of people fishing from the beach on a rising tide. It may have been a competition. If so this chap was doing well as he is just hauling what seems to be quite a sizable fish onto the shore. I didn't notice the fish when taking the shot.

By the time we'd finished the walk along the prom to Seabrook and back clouds had rolled in extinguishing what was shaping up to be an fine sunset. By the time we got home it was raining!
