Mono Monday - Still Life, But Only Just...

To quote The Tate, "One of the principal genres (subject types) of Western art – essentially, the subject matter of a still life painting [or photograph] or sculpture is anything that does not move or is dead."

Well, this is dead on message. And indeed still. in truth, it's not clear to me when death takes place - immediately one cuts the flower or at some stage afterward. If this seems a dull and pointless pondering, try asking old Yorik here...

Is death at the point of decapitation, or at some later stage? But, again, he is certainly still. And for those of you of a delicate disposition, he is also Plaster of Paris... I bought him in 1977 actually in Paris, though gods know why apart from teenage morbidity.
