An ordinary life....

Autumn leaves...

Today has had a bit of a theme and that theme is....food!

Ele and Kenny are coming for dinner on Friday evening and Andrew, Nikki and Esme are coming for dinner on Saturday evening, so this morning was spent planning menus for both nights.

Running late for lunch as David had gone to pick up Alan's pal Andrew who was here for the day, so when he returned, rather than makes something, we headed to our favourite local Deli.  As ever, that was a great decision as the food was outstanding!  Croquettas to start for us both followed by mushroom and Gorgonzola risotto for David and King Prawn linguine with lime, chilli and coriander for me.  Absolutely delicious (and saved me cooking dinner this evening :-)))

We then left there and headed to Gleneagles where we booked lunch in the Century Bar for December using a voucher we were gifted last Christmas by a lovely friend (thank you again :-)) Really looking forward to that!  :-))  On the way out, we stopped to admire the autumn colour in the grounds and grab my blip (couple more in extras)

Then this evening I booked David's birthday dinner at another favourite local restaurant (we are so spoiled with amazing eateries in these here parts!)

Finally I spent a large chunk of this evening thinking about Christmas menus.  Not sure yet if it will be just us here for Christmas dinner this year or whether my stepdad John and Norma will be joining us.  Will find out soon.  Also Eleanor has a very special birthday on Boxing Day but not sure if there's a formal celebration planned.  I assume not but will sound Kenny out on Friday.  Can't have Ele making her own dinner on her special birthday!

Now time for a cuppa and a slice of toast :-))
