Waiting For Development

Back in August I blipped this location - but from behind where the container is now. There was still a building here, and I thought it was going be done up - but it appears that preparations were underway for demolition.

The building has now gone - but it amused me to see a brand new shed standing amongst all the detritus (simple things etc.).

There is a planning application in for redevelopment - and the plans look rather flash with panoramic windows and decks to the upper levels. One of the stipulations on the application is that all the lower storeys of the building must be water tolerant as it is only a few feet above the level of the river and is prone to flooding. You can see the River Wharfe behind the site - it is running high but nowhere near the flood levels.
