Life in Sunny Dubai

Gosh, the days are getting so busy, I am blipping Saturday on Wednesday night.

I had a much needed easy start to the day. Finishing the ironing was the important thing to do at home. It was all done by 1 pm. That was in order for us to eat and get ready to leave for Abu Dhabi by 3:30.

We got tickets to listen to Ravi Zacharias at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi. The last time I heard him was in 2012. Thankfully, that was in Dubai, and not too far from where we live. Going to Abu Dhabi was easy enough and we found the venue and parked up.

The evening itself was amazing. The event was allowed to happen because of the UAE's Year of Tolerance. There was a worship band and then the talk itself for about an hour, followed by a short Q&A session.

As we were well in the City, we decided to drive around a bit and reacquaint ourselves with Abu Dhabi - something we haven't done for over 20 years! It has changed a lot. The Corniche is completely different. They had the lights up ready for the UAE's 48th National  Day in December.

As much as we would have liked to, we didn't hang around too much, and got home by midnight, stopping at the Last Exit for a bite to eat. It's been an amazing evening!
