I cannot believe that I've never noticed the numbered basins of water complete with water collecting channels along the top of Stanage! But there they are, apparently created about a century ago to provide drinking water for grouse... you've obviously got to keep them alive and healthy ready for the shooting season! As you can see, this is No 4.
