Lemon scented

A bit under the weather this morning, but bounced back after coffee and a couple of hours' pottering around. Off to Tai Chi in the afternoon and, later on, made the Christmas puddings.

Another damp, gloomy, grey day when it barely got light so, yet again, lacking in outdoor Blip inspiration. Here you have the lemon-scented geranium acquired a couple of months ago. I was given one of these, way back in the late '70s. It started as a tiny cutting and flourished until December 2010 when we moved house during an exceptionally cold period. It, with all our other house plants, spent the night on the removal lorry which had broken-down beside the A1, in temperatures down to -17degC. The plants were all frozen solid on arrival and, despite efforts to revive them, subsequently died! The geranium had been a well-earned gift, for feeding a colleague's cat while he was away for a week. It was beautiful Burmese cat, but a cat with an attitude, and every single day perched on top of a high fridge in wait, pounced on to my back and went for the jugular!

Hope this geranium does as well as its predecessor - if it does, it will probably outlast me!
