Circus of Squirrels
I have been trying to figure out why we suddenly have SO many squirrels right now...and finally it dawned on me as I was watching them this morning that many of them are youngsters, no doubt from the last litter of the year. Squirrels don't typically leave their "nests" until they are nearly full sized so I can be forgiven for not realizing that the sudden uptick was due to a recently escaped teenage gang. Between the squirrels and the chipmunks, it's a wonder there is any seed left for the birds. Hubs had to go out and buy another 40 pound bag of sunflower seeds yesterday - and I just bought one maybe 3 weeks ago!
Anyhow...this image made me laugh. I was actually laughing the whole time I was shooting (through the closed window - it's cold out there today), thoroughly entertained by the shenanigans of the little rascals. I'll put a couple of other shots in Extra, in case you'd like a chuckle.
I had three goals for today...1) to see if I could get myself off the rug if I got down there to do some crunches and pectoral flies, 2) to have Hubs set up my little table and soft box in my
office studio, and 3) see if I could get onto the deck using my crutches. I am happy to say that all three are now ticked off my list! Although in fairness, Number 1 wasn't pretty and Number 3 was only accomplished with Hubs' assistance. Still, I'll consider it three wins. And, I got myself up and down our 18 stairs not once, but THREE times! Which takes care of my triceps workout for the day as I have to go up on my butt, lifting myself with arms from one stair to the next.
After my busy morning, I am now reclined on the sofa with my foot elevated, ready to start looking through the TinyTuesday entries. Fire blazing.
Thank you for stopping by.
