Frost and mist

This morning was perfect for photos - frosty, misty and sunny! I leapt out of bed when I saw the thick frost outside and after breakfast we went to the woods to walk Xena and take photos. It was a beautiful morning , cold and bright just how I like the winter to be. The light with the mist rising was lovely, and the frost on the vegetation in the shady areas was so thick.

After the walk we went to the boys' school as we were asked to be interviewed for a marketing/branding study, and it was very interesting taking part and talking to the interviewer about it.

We got home after lunch as after leaving Xena to sleep we decided to go out for a late, light lunch in the village. It was lovely to do that then back home to chores and other things.

Gavin is very frustrated as the pump for the garden water feature has broken as something has chewed through the electric cable that lies under water. We don't think a squirrel would eat something that lies under water so we think it may be a deer, but whatever it was it has cost us a new pump as it is a sealed unit and the cable cannot be replaced.

A relaxing Saturday evening lies ahead....Xena requested more episodes of The Crown!
