Thorp Arch Church

A morning of shopping and then sorting out cupboards to find space for everything. Our ‘post-Brexit’ survival stash is getting bigger.

After lunch I sorted out a load of recycling from the garage and loaded up the car to take it to the tip. On the way I noticed that sun shining through the trees onto the lovely little church in Thorp Arch Village, so I stopped to take a look. The trees were creating lovely dappled shadows on the building.

This church is slightly unusual in that it has a sundial rather than a clock on the tower. As you can see the time was around quarter past two (the inset shows it from a different angle and close up) - it shows the correct time in winter.
