A GRAND DAY OUT

Left for Morecambe at 9.00 am and arrived by 9.40.  Mum and Sister were there waiting for me.  So after a brief chat we headed out.  Now I can't count the times I've gone from Mum's up the M6 to Junction 36, but for some reason today I found myself heading SOUTH on the M6 towards  Garsang!!!  So got off at Junction 32 and headed back NORTH again, having only lost about 20 minutes.

We then had a pleasant drive up to Ambleside and Hayes Garden Centre.  My Sister, W, had never been to Hayes.  After a coffee, we then proceeded to do some shopping, look round the Christmas area and Mum bought out Edinburgh Woollen Mill AGAIN!!

After a couple of hours we were ready for lunch for we went to The Water Edge Inn and had a very pleasant lunch overlooking the top of Windermere Lake.

Then had a stroll around, up to the pier, into a little gift shop and then returned sister safely back to Lancaster and Mum back to Morecambe before returning home.

We will have to do that again, but go somewhere different, that perhaps Sis  has never visited before (they go to Barton Grange regularly so it would have to be somewhere else).

Photo of Mum and Sis sitting on the swing seat in the Water Edge Inn gardens.  It was so lovely and warm after recent very cold days.  Very very bright with the sun being so low that it really blinded us at times.

All in all a REAL GRAND DAY OUT.

Thanks for dropping by again, take care and see you all tomorrow.  Will try to catch up with your blips, but am tired now from driving into the blinding sun!!!
